Red Wings comemmorate their 100th centennial season with a four-day 'celebration of the fans'

NHL Insider Peter Maxwell has reported that the team will be celebrating the Centennial Season and fans at the Motor City Casino, in a four-day fan fest.
The Red Wings are exuberant, as their 100th season has started off successfully.
Ranked 2nd in the Atlantic, they're taking their game to the Motor City Casino for a meet-and-greet with fans in celebration of their Centennial Season.

Fans will be given a unique chance to meet legendary NHL players during the celebration.
The events began today, as the Hockeytown faithful have begun to pour into the Casino.

The 100-year legacy of the team astounds some fans:
"It's incredible to see the history of 100 years," said Ryan McIntire, a Red Wings fan attending the event.
The scope of the Centennial celebration has wowed some fans, including Jim McBroom.
"It's really mind boggling and touching to see how far back this goes," McBroom said.
The displays chronicled the team's century-long legacy, which includes the Russian Five, Stanley Cup Trophies, vintage equipment, along with Grind Line memorabilia, and a display for goaltender Terry Sawchuk.
For some fans, this helps them reminisce about times when they met their heroes, like Gordie Howe, and for others, it's an accumulation of a history they've never been able to know.
A wealth of knowledge that encompasses the beginning of the NHL. Included in the events are meet and greets with alumni Justin Abdelkader, Drew Miller, and Greg Stefan.
The fan fest will run through Sunday.
Tickets for the event run at $35 a piece, and VIP packages are available for fans..
