The Detroit Red Wings organization announced that they've made two ECHL signings, including a former St. Louis Blues draft pick and also a team captain.
Indeed, Tanner Dickinson and Tanner Palocsik will join the team for the upcoming season, which starts this Friday.
Red Wings' ECHL Affiliate Sign Two Players
In breaking news, the Toledo Walleye announced that Tanner Dickinson and Tanner Palocsik signed contracts:
"The Toledo Walleye have signed a pair of players prior to the beginning of the 2025-26 ECHL season, as Tanner Dickinson and Tanner Palocsik have each agreed to terms for the upcoming season."
A Perrysburg native, Tanner Dickinson is a 23-year-old forward who was drafted by the St. Louis Blues at the 119th overall rank in 2020.
After he was drafted, he spent most of his time in the AHL, playing for the Utica Comets and Springfield Thunderbirds. He also played 45 games in the ECHL during the 2023-24 season for the Orlando Solar Bears.
During the offseason, he signed with HC Presov in Slovakia, where he scored three assists in seven games before choosing to return to North America.
He joined the team's training camp on Monday, right after signing his contract, and will be with the team for the season opener next Saturday against the Indy Fuel.
As for Palocsik, the Pennsylvania native started the season in France with Cergy-Pontoise, where he scored two points in six games.
Last season, he took part in 50 games with the Walleye, where he scored three points.
