The Red Wings lost defenseman Jeff Petry during their recent 5-4 win over the Blue Jackets, and head coach Todd McLellan has the latest update on his condition.
He did not play in Saturday night's 4-2 win over the Winnipeg Jets, and he was unavailable at practice this morning at Little Caesars Arena.
And according to head coach Todd McLellan, Petry will not be available to play in tomorrow night's game against the divisional foe Ottawa Senators (7:00 PM, FanDuel Sports Detroit, 97.1 The Ticket).
Per Coach McLellan, Jeff Petry is still being evaluated and won't play tomorrow. Justin Holl was out with a personal matter today and will be available for tomorrow's game.
Petry is in the final year of his current contract.
In the meantime, the Red Wings re-called defenseman William Lagesson from the Grand Rapids Griffins, though he did not play in Detroit's win over the Jets.
