A major development in Carter Hart's NHL comeback has been confirmed and it's a big surprise

NHL Insider David Pagnotta has revealed that the Detroit Red Wings will have competition for goalie Carter Hart, as Steve Yzerman may have to woo him from his old team, the Philadelphia Flyers.
The Carter Hart situation has evolved in an intriguing fashion.
While he's not been reinstated into the NHL to find a job yet, suitors are lining up.
The former Flyers goalie had been linked to the Detroit Red Wings back in July, but due to the fact that his situation hasn't changed, there's been no progression.
His status as a starting goalie will keep teams compelled to check in on his eligibility to return.
With NHL Insider David Pagnotta stepping into the fray to let us know, there are at least several NHL teams that want to employ his services.

Carter Hart's Last Season in the NHL, and his Future
We don't know what his future holds in the NHL, as he has yet to receive the "ok" from Gary Bettman and Bill Daly in order to pursue a job in the league.
At one point, he was considered one of the NHL's top goalies and gave the Flyers a chance to win every night, even as they regressed as a team yearly.
In 2023-24, he played a total of 26 games for the Flyers and had a record of 2.80 GAA, 12-9-3, and a .906 SV%.
If Carter Hart does get a chance to begin his career again in the league, he is destined to be a starting goalie wherever he lands.
Though he may have to start as a backup after being out of the game for so long.
