For the Florida Panthers, Brad Marchand is a rental, but for the Detroit Red Wings, the league's biggest pest is a free agency opportunity that Steve Yzerman should recognize.

The Detroit Red Wings need capable help on the top six. With Lucas Raymond and Dylan Larkin, there's grit missing.
While you may hate him, Brad Marchand adds a flair to any team's lineup that a lot of people desire. He's not only a capable goal-scorer, but one of the league's best agitators.
Marchand's also been a key role player in the team's lineup, scoring the game-winning goal in Game 3 against his fiercest rival, the Toronto Maple Leafs.
He's a natural leader and has enough playoff experience to teach others how to hack it in the postseason.
Another reason why GM Steve Yzerman should pursue him during the offseason. His $6.125 million contract will expire, and he'll be a UFA searching for a new home and a new contract.
The pending UFA will have plenty of takers in the offseason with the kind of play he provides. It wouldn't be surprising if teams like the Colorado Avalanche, Edmonton Oilers, and other contending teams in the league.
He has a winning pedigree and can score goals even if he's not in his prime.
The Bruins shamelessly traded Marchand to the Florida Panthers for a conditional 2nd-round draft pick that could turn into a 1st-rounder.
This season with the Bruins and Panthers, he's played a total of 71 regular-season hockey games and scored a total of 51 points (23 goals, 28 assists).
