The hard-checking game of the Detroit Red Wings has put another player out of commission, as the Buffalo Sabres have lost key forward Jason Zucker.

The Buffalo Sabres may have won a small battle in the game against the Detroit Red Wings, 4-2, but their losses were substantial.
According to a report from Brandon Croce from Sabre Noise, the team has lost forward Jason Zucker to an upper-body injury, which happened in the 2nd period of the game.
He was hit along the boards during the second period and would immediately skate off the ice. The gritty forward would miss the third period and the remainder of the game.
He's been one of the Sabres' bright spots on an ultimately dismal lineup.
In 7 games for the Atlantic Division team, he's scored 4 points (4-1) and has been a fixture on the special teams.

The Buffalo Sabres Miss Key Forward Due to Aggressive Detroit Red Wings team

Todd McLellan has given the team new life, and they have found a new gear to play in this year as one of the top teams in the Atlantic.
With a fiery edge they play with, injuries are bound to happen as players go above and beyond for a win every night.
Unfortunately, it just wasn't that night.
Zuck has been a key role player in the Sabres top six and scored 53 points (21-32) for the plucky team.
Now, they'll have to rely on depth and call-ups from Rochester if they need help while he's out.
This is another injury that has happened during a Red Wings game, and the last player to fall to the winged wheel was Kasperi Kapanen of the Edmonton Oilers.
The ferocity of McLellan's team is unmatched.
